2025 MAMA Spring Rally

May 21–22, 2025 | Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI

Get ready for two thrilling days of vehicle testing, networking, and content creation at the Midwest Automotive Media Association’s (MAMA) premier annual event. Here’s everything you need to know. 

Before You Arrive: Waivers Required 

  • REQUIRED FOR ALL MEDIA, AFFILIATES AND AUTOMAKERS
    • Valid drivers license
    • Signed automaker waivers (coming via docusign to your inbox)
    • Road America Speed Waiver

Rally Overview


Check-In & Breakfast at Road America

  • All attendees must check in on Wednesday, May 21 at Road America; check-in begins at 7 am and will continue until breakfast. If you arrive after, check-in is at the media center.
  • Welcome presentation, track rules and event schedule overview.

Driving Sessions Kick Off

  • Track Driving

    • Helmets required (available on-site)

    • First-timers must complete a pre-track briefing and ride with an instructor

    • Track is open only on Day 1

    • Drive at your own pace—this is not a lead/follow format

  • Off-Road Driving

    • Two course options, depending on vehicle capabilities

    • Take it slow and ride with an experienced driver if you’re new to off-roading

    • Course is operational only on Day 1

  • Street Drives

    • Public road routes available

    • Follow all traffic laws and respect local property

    • Interior roads within Road America offer excellent opportunities for photos and video

    • Street drives continue on Day 2

Capturing Content

  • Limit your time with each vehicle to 20 minutes—coordinate longer time with PR reps.

  • No drones. GoPros are allowed.
